The Land of The Forgotten
Thank you,
For having taught a sad man
The taste of sobbing tears...
I couldn't have hoped for a better gift,
Than that which reminds the soul
Of when it's gone adrift.
So I've come here to cry today,
In remembrance of the lost
In the land of the forgotten.
Like the rise of a sudden storm,
The words left her sunken lips.
And the sea, once calm and warm,
Now wrecked our reuniting ships.
She said she’d drown in winter’s rain
And rain fell down from the sky.
She said she’d die yet again
And death rained in a silent cry.
But not a drop fell on my face,
No despair on my sailor’s eyes.
Not a change of my heart’s pace,
Not a hint of my demise.
So sad, the sea thought,
To feel safe in a wrecking ship.
So sad, the wind thought,
To be calm amidst all this.
So sad, the sailor thought,
To forget what sadness is
This moonlight addiction of mine’s
Been leading my mind astray.
This small glimpse of sunshine’s
Been pulling my soul from day.
And my feet of wondering night
Have since ceased to obey.
They chase wildly after the moon,
Without a single reason why.
Following the beautiful tune
Of the ever-changing sky.
But beware of where they move,
For if they trip I might just die.
Fallen on dimly lit light,
When the moon’s lost its way.
Caught by wolves of the night,
Who’ve made of me their prey.
Then torn by their growling bites,
Sank deeply into my veins.
But if that breath's still not my last
And my legs still can race,
Then I
To know how many stars there are
Hanging from the sky…
To know exactly how far
In this darkly lit night,
My light will ever fly.
I look in search of all this,
Even if for just a sign.
I wonder at the glowing abyss,
If anywhere on this sky
Shines a sun just like mine.
I imagine its burning light,
Hidden within this sea.
I imagine the warming sight,
Of someone sitting there
Looking right back at me.
Our eyes fleeing from our stars,
Running to the dark.
Wishing to trade our scars,
For a place far far away
Where they’re just another spark.
And from there I can clearly see,
Across this vast sky.
That whichever dot it may be,
My sun
You, who knows who you are...
It’s been so very long, I suppose,
That now, that you're so close,
I'm not sure if I'm not too far.
My eyes set on other skies.
Not that I've found any stars yet,
And those that pass, I quickly forget,
Thinking of our long lost ties.
But you, Miss You, must someday go.
For though I still dream of our kiss,
I know I can’t keep calling miss
To someone I so well know,
Though I miss you so…

Thoughts of Nicotine
Nothing can get me any higher
Than the sound of my heart sinking.
I've even tried to cut off my supplier,
But it’s so hard to keep sober
When my drug's a way of thinking...
Welcome to Hotel Heart,
A humble growing home,
Where every guest becomes part,
Of the rooms the keeper roams.
For each one is its own,
Each with a different tone.
Some are filled with frames,
Bygone memories of old.
Others keep less remains,
Of those who once there strolled.
Yet all something have left,
Something no one could best.
Remnants of stories and dreams,
Alive in the keeper's heart.
Tales of kings and queens,
Too beautiful to let depart.
For unlike the thinking mind,
The heart's to its passions twined.
And in this homely hotel,
Where travellers come and go.
Their passions stick like a spell,
Impelling this heart to grow.

When you've been trying to write a poem for a really long time but it's not flowing well and then suddenly you get some cool ideas for it but bcs you don't have your stuff next to you you just forget about it and now I'm fucking stranded again...
